The Israeli Dressage Winter Cup is over. Talo and myself won 3rd place in training level.
I am proud of this achievement but I know I can do so much more, and I wish I would have done better in the competitions that led to the finals.
We scored 68% in the finals (again, mostly deductions for impulsion, how predictable) and got 2nd place in the daily competition. We were a point and a bit away from second place in the overall rankings, but the sum just wasn’t enough.
Still, it was a lot of fun.
I won’t be going to competitions in the near future, though. My trainer has left for another stable, and the instructor of my choice currently isn’t involved in dressage competitions. Besides, the shows are very expensive, and I can’t justify the expense on a regular basis. We’ll see how things develop. In the mean time – back to work. There’s still tons of things to improve, including my seat and leg position.
