Talo has always been a sassy horse. He has a huge personality and it always showed.

Now that he’s retired, and doing nothing but eating, pooping and annoying me, he really forgot any semblance of manners that he once had, and basically behaves as a spoiled brat. I still correct him here and there, but really he’s not doing anything too bad, just being, well, VERY SASSY.

Case in point:

He was grazing in this tiny part of the arena, which became full of nice, fresh grass because of the rain. I left the gates open, because I thought he might want to be there for a while. The cold weather made him extra-frisky and I thought he was going to run inside the fenced area, so I took out my phone to take a video.

Instead, the little bastard bee-lined directly to the opening and tried to ran away, ignoring the fact that I told him no, only to be foiled by a large paddle. Serves you right!

Anyway, as you can hear in the video, it was hilarious, and he made me laugh – as he usually does.

That’s Talo for you. My senior, almost 25 years old horse. Sass and attitude all day long 🙂
